Digital creation

  • Choose any mitzvah and make a digital creation about it  (see our useful list of content creation tools)
  • Connect the mitzvah you choose to create your digital presentation on to one of the below:

Gemilut Chassadim – acts of loving kindness

Tikkun Olam – helping the environment

Tzedek – righteousness

  • Include at least one source from the Torah in your presentation that links to or describes the mitzvah you chose
  • Explain the mitzvah – You can use stories, midrash, textual references and more
  • Include a real world application of the mitzvah e.g. you explain how you would do this mitzvah yourself, or how someone has done it
  • Use interactive elements and new, interesting technology to enhance the presentation
  • Add credits – the sources from where you got your pictures, music etc
  • If you want to make your entry really outstanding, look carefully at the criteria we will use when judging the digital elements of your entries.  You can see the criteria here.

Explain how you could launch this mitzvah as a project in your school/organisation.  For example, if you chose Tzedakah as your Mitzvah, you could organise a bake sale to raise money for your favourite charities.

  • Include a written suggestion or video for this project which your school/cheder/community/youth movement could do which involves the mitzvah.

  • The winning project will be selected to become Mitzvah Day’s flagship project for primary/secondary schools as well as receiving a prize (see entry details).
